DELIVERY: ALL helmet orders will take approximately 4 to 6 weeks to complete. LDSH is not my primary business. Production, web-updates, and shipping all take place on my days off. If you ordered a helmet three days ago, please dont call and ask, "is it done yet, is it done yet?" Chances are its not. If you havent heard from me by the end of six weeks, feel free to call and inquire. Chances are, its either on its way or I ran off to my island paradise in Aruba with your money.

REFUNDS: Helmet orders can be cancelled and a refund can be applied for under certain circumstances. If you decide to cancel an order for any reason, a fee will be charged. This fee will be determined based on how much work has been done to your helmet. This may range from $35.00 to the complete cost of the helmet. For example, custom orders can be cancelled, but once work has begun  no refund will be given due to the liklihood of my not being able to re-sell the helmet. (A custom helmet is defined as any helmet with any painted insignia) Like-wise, I've beaten myself silly trying to build rush orders for certain customers that needed their helmet "last week" and only placed the order "today".  So, effective today, ALL rush orders will be assessed a non-refundable $15.00 fee. This ensures that you are placed ahead of the production line.

 ATTITUDES and THEIR EFFECT ON YOUR ORDER: I understand peoples frustration when things dont go their way, or they wait longer than anticipated for delivery. In all cases, I strive to keep turnaround time to a minimum. However, in addition to a regular, full time career and caring for my 4 year old on my off-days require my time and commitment as well. I'm a one man show. I dont have a 2400 square foot production facility and a staff of 8 year old Pakistani slave labor sewing sweatbands and chinstraps for me. Attitudes, name calling, temper tantrums and general crabbiness will not be tolerated. Like I tell people who I am issuing a traffic ticket to...."Sir/Ma'am, your attitude is certainly not going to further your cause".  One specific re-enactor back east comes to mind, but he will remain nameless out of respect: Making ridiculous time-demands when placing your order, and speaking to me like I'm a 6 year old child will not ensure faster delivery. What it will ensure is my soaking your sweatband in pepper-spray and writing "SPANK ME" on the back of your helmet in invisible ink that shows up neon pink when wet.....because of your childish and arrogant tirade, you, Sir, are awarded the Lawdog WW2 Steel Helmets Jackass of the month award! If I had your picture, I'd post it here for all to see...after I ran it through some really creative Photo-Shop first!!  Congratulations, and thank you for shopping......

RETURN POLICY: Effective immediately, I will be more than happy to replace or repair, ONE TIME ONLY, any item due to defects or damage upon delivery. Items damaged due to negligence (ie; Why wont my USMC machete fit inside this M6 scabbard??) will not be repaired or replaced.  At Lawdog WW2 Steel Helmets, all of my reproduction components or accessories are as close to the original thing as one can humanly get without going back in time sixty plus years. Thats why theyre called "reproductions". If, when you receive your item, youre not happy with the way it looks, even though I post photos of it on this site, I will gladly accept it for an exchange of something of equal value, or I will grant you credit towards another future purchase. NEW ORDER FORM:  In order to make things easier and to help keep orders straight, I have developed a simple, and easy to use fill-in-the-blank order form for those that elect to send in helmets to me to be re-done or would rather pay by personal check or money order. Just click on  this link   and save it to your "my documents" file as a WORD attachment. Please be sure to fill in all of your correct shipping and contact information at the bottom of the form, and do not forget to include the correct return shipping amount with your payment. Any order sent without shipping cannot be processed. Once you complete the form, simply pay by paypal and e-mail the form back to me as an attachment. I will either call or send you an e-mail confirmation that your order and payment has been received.  

LOST IN THE MAIL:  I can not  be held responsible for packages that are either mis-delivered or lost by the Postal service. All of my shipping is done via USPS priority mail with tracking, but occasionally (twice now) helmets end up in some cosmic postal worm hole between here and there. I will accommodate other shipping methods, such as UPS or FEDEX, but you will need to specify how you want it shipped when placing your order.  NO ITEMS WILL BE REPLACED OR MONEY REFUNDED FOR PACKAGES LOST IN DELIVERY. Additionally, I am not responsible for the incompetence and/or corruption of your foriegn customs officials. If Igor steals your helmet from the dock as a gift for Svetlana to use as a grain scoop for the family Yak, that's not my problem. I will not, under any circumstances undervalue customs forms. Dont even ask. There is no tracking on USPS airmail packages. I cant help it if it falls off the plane over the Atlantic, or if it gets misdirected to some Sherpa in the Himilayas. If you live overseas, then I suggest that you pay the additional money for Global Express shipping or UPS. I usually dont have trouble with overseas shipments, but every policy arises out of experience....and I've had ALOT of bad experiences with European customs and shady foriegn customers.
